WELCOME
This month, learn more about how building trust-centered relationships is critical to your brand, along with updates to Meta, X, and LinkedIn.
Let’s dive in.
Trust Building
Now more than ever, trust is central to brand growth. Yet there is often a disconnect in audiences’ trust in businesses. Digital media professionals are often charged with building and maintaining trust, yet it can be tough to know where to begin. To foster real relationships, care for your brand’s reputation, and keep your audience coming back, trust is key. Here’s how you can foster brand trust.
Staying in touch
To grow trust in your brand, it is essential to always communicate with your audience, especially one-on-one. Be sure to respond to comments often and relate to your audience along the way. Answer DMs and any questions people may have. Blog posts and social posts are also essential for trust-building as authentic media. Be sure to stay consistent with your messaging. Strong internal communication is also necessary: to gain trust on the outside, trust is necessary on the inside as well.
Trustworthy storytelling
Storytelling is foundational to increasing trust in your brand. By sharing success stories with clients, you create credibility in your brand. People want to hear real narratives. It can also build trust by sharing employee and company stories, including employee-generated content. Show how you are responsible and take care of your clients. Personify your brand, and know who your brand is. On the other hand, do the same with your audience.
Also, focus on forging local connections. Here at Strategic Elements, we know the importance of brand trust. Our grassroots public affairs work focuses on building real relationships with real people. We tell real stories and create lasting local connections along the way for real-world results.
Last, but certainly not least
Last, let’s revisit authenticity, an overarching theme for digital marketing in the past few years. Trust ties in directly with authenticity. By being authentic and nurturing customer relationships, you show that you are responsible and take care of your clients.
In times where trust in businesses is low, set your brand apart from the best by actively building trust with your audience. Share real stories, be authentic, and communicate with your clients often. You will be glad you did.
Meta’s Milestone
Meta is launching new features on Threads to celebrate 500 million monthly active users. Meta is taking users’ feedback directly with the new Your Algo feature. This feature allows users to directly “tell” the algorithm on Threads what they are or are not interested in, developing a feed that is more personalized to them. Meta has also launched community tools on Threads, including: Communities Hub, Community Icons, Community Progress, Community Champions, and Local Communities.
Similar to its Threads platform, Meta is also making improvements to Instagram’s algorithm. Meta is giving users the chance to tell their algorithms the topics they enjoy. Users will also have control over how to customize their Instagram explore page and which reels the algorithm shows them.
LinkedIn Leverages Creators
LinkedIn is focusing on content creators with its new creator resources. Creator Marketplace provides tools to help businesses and content creators find one another. On the other side, Thought Leader Ads help brands leverage creators’ content in ad form. These new tools will also help speed up the partnership process between brands and content creators and help content creators get discovered.
LinkedIn is also launching BrandWorks to help B2B marketers improve their campaigns. BrandWorks has a team of experts across marketing fields to support businesses, helping marketers make their campaigns more impactful and efficient.
In addition, LinkedIn is launching a series of courses in collaboration with Adobe. This course will help marketers harness the power of artificial intelligence in their work. AI literacy is an increasingly common requirement for marketing roles, and this course aims to boost it. The courses are short-form and are free to use, and there will be four of them.
Hopping on the Authenticity Train
Following Meta and LI’s recent efforts to curb inauthentic content, X is cracking down on it as well. In a trust-building effort, X is now targeting aggregator accounts while creating better incentives for authentic content creators. This effort is on the heels of the platform’s previous focus on cutting down on crypto and foreign policy posts. Creators will also be getting more credit for their work as a result.
X has also integrated Google Tag Manager for advertisers. This tool will help advertisers track current events on the platform more easily. It will also allow advertisers to view insights and track campaign success more efficiently than before, with no coding experience required.
