Sarah joined the Strategic Elements team in May 2021 after graduating from Drake University with degrees in public relations and strategic political communication. Prior to joining the team as a Communications Coordinator, she served as a public affairs intern. During that time, Sarah worked with the client relations and communication teams to create deliverables and prepare research for the firm’s clientele.
Prior to Strategic Elements, Sarah served as a communication & events intern for The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Iowa, where she prepared the non-profit’s legislative strategy and gained national recognition for her communications efforts in fundraising. In the heat of the 2020 election, she served as a student ambassador for Rock The Vote, a nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building the political power of young people, where she provided voting information and resources to college students nationwide.
Sarah’s public relations and issue advocacy work has been recognized by The Public Relations Society of America – Central Iowa chapter for her public relations and legislative strategy for the Alzheimer’s Association- Iowa Chapter and public relations strategy for Svens Skincare. Sarah is now based out of Washington D.C..
