Jesse Dougherty

Assistant Vice President, Media & Communications

Jesse is a communications and public affairs specialist with over eight years of experience in political and advocacy campaigns. An Iowa native, Dougherty has utilized his talents to advance critical policy and political agendas throughout the Midwest and at the national level.

Dougherty has worked with Fortune 50 companies and top national trade associations to raise awareness for key economic issues including renewable energy, health care, technology and immigration reform. Before joining the firm, Dougherty worked on multiple successful political campaigns in the Midwest and took a leave-of-absence from Strategic Elements in 2018 to serve as Communications Director for the Republican Party of Iowa, working closely with state and local candidates and elected officials to deliver effective messages, both from urban and rural perspectives.

With a robust communications background, Dougherty has successfully placed print and broadcast pieces with many of the most prestigious national and regional media outlets and has overseen successful media relations initiatives in nearly every state. Dougherty recruits the voices of influencers and industry experts to deliver the most impactful message pertinent to any political climate.

Dougherty earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis on Digital New Media from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Jesse resides in Waukee, Iowa with his wife and young daughter.
